We are pleased to offer Teaching Artists, the second iteration of an initiative that establishes a dialogue between artists and educators in the Roaring Fork Valley. This program invites artists to expand their practice through an educational framework and connects them with artists and educators with teaching experience. Teaching Artists offers participants professional experience via curriculum development, analysis, skill-sharing, and critical discussion surrounding arts education. Participants also have paid opportunities to design and implement curriculum together with the Aspen Art Museum for our Drop-In Art School weekly workshops. In addition to valuable education experience, Teaching Artists participants have the chance to connect and network with local arts organizations.
Artists, art educators, classroom teachers, and the education-curious are welcome to apply. Sessions begin January 23, 2025, and will occur every other Thursday from 6–8 PM at the Education Workshop in the Aspen Art Museum, unless otherwise noted.
Participants are encouraged to attend at least 80% of the events in the series. Dinner and transportation reimbursement will be provided.
