About
Intersect Art and Design
Intersect Art and Design presents curated art fairs that attract a broad range of collectors both nationally and internationally. IAD provides an opportunity to put your brand front and center to a highly targeted fine art and design-focused, engaged audience. We are focused on creating events that are connected to our local communities. Our Fairs are dedicated to showcasing and bringing top tier art and design galleries, institutions, and collectors together to activate each of our spaces.
Intersect is a partnership of brothers Tim and Dirk von Gal, who are event industry veterans with more than 50 years of combined experience creating successful trade shows and conferences for business, consumer, and art industry sectors. The fairs had been under the umbrella of Tim won Gal's former company Urban Expositions (founded in 1995), which was acquired by Clarion in 2015. The brothers' launch of Intersect in April 2020 brings the fairs back under their management once again. Intersect is part of vGMgt LLC, which is a team of dedicated professionals focused on customer service, integrity, and the experiential value of Intersect Art and Design.
Intersect Aspen
Aspen comes alive in the summer with visitors flocking to the high mountain town to escape the heat and humidity found elsewhere. Intersect Aspen offers an intimate, curated setting for visitors to encounter modern and contemporary art and design presented by galleries from around the world. This boutique fair is timed during Aspen’s peak art season, attracting top collectors to the region for one of the art world’s most influential weekends of the year.
Intersect Palm Springs
Just over two hours from Los Angeles and a mecca of mid-century modern design and architecture with avid art collectors, Palm Springs sets an ideal stage for the fair to take place.
With three FBOs serving the greater Palm Springs region, the area enjoys an abundance of private jet traffic coming to second and third homes. In addition, the valley’s tourism and hospitality industry is the strongest it’s ever been. Visitors spent $7.1 billion last year alone, with peak season from December to March.
